Europe’s ambitions under the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) will only become reality if they are backed by adequate funding, investment and the right regulatory conditions.

With negotiations on the upcoming European Competitiveness Fund and discussions on a potential EU Critical Raw Materials Corporation underway, important decisions lie ahead for Europe’s raw materials industry.

On 16 November 2026, European Metals is bringing together policymakers, industry representatives and civil society for a one-hour webinar to discuss how the EU can accelerate strategic projects, mobilise public and private investment, and strengthen Europe’s raw materials resilience.

Key questions will include:

• Why is dedicated funding for critical raw materials essential under the European Competitiveness Fund?
• How should the EU Critical Raw Materials Corporation be designed to accelerate the implementation of the CRMA? 
• What do projects need to come online faster and contribute to the CRMA benchmarks? 
• How can the EU attract private investment while supporting both new projects and Europe’s existing industrial base?
