Compliance and representation

Why is it important?

Compliance is directly related to the license to operate industrial plants but also to the market access of our products and consequently their shareholder value. Compliance requires actors to implement all legislations relevant to the production, use, end-of life and recycling of our metals and inorganics in the most appropriate way.

What do we do?

European Metals has a “regular stakeholder” status in meetings set up by regulatory authorities and attends meetings to:

  1. identify and report back on technical learnings and precedent-settings for its members,
  2. support the members on specific technical issues (sharing and discussing the information made available ahead of the meeting, preparing the interventions, taking notes, assisting in the follow-up actions and communications)
  3. make the link between authorities (e.g., Agencies) and the members
